Tabs + Campfire: Billing and the ERP, in Sync

Finance teams have outgrown the systems they were handed. Legacy ERPs were built for a slower, simpler kind of business, and as pricing has moved toward usage, milestone, and hybrid models, the gap between what was billed and what's in the ledger keeps widening.
Today, we're announcing a partnership with Tabs, the AI operating system for revenue, to close that gap.
Why Tabs and Campfire
Both companies were built for the AI era of finance, on different sides of the same problem. Campfire modernized the ledger. Tabs modernized the billing and revenue recognition that feeds it.
That shared starting point made this an easy decision. Without the right tools, teams end up re-entering invoices, credit memos, and revenue entries by hand, and the cost adds up fast. Finance teams can spend up to 30% of month-end close on reconciliation tasks alone, and half of teams now take six or more business days to complete the close. It's often the reason a team goes looking for a new ERP in the first place, and it's frustrating to find the same manual work waiting on the other side of a migration.
What the integration does
A Campfire customer connects their Tabs account once. From then on, every billing event Tabs produces lands in Campfire automatically and correctly:
- Invoices sync as they're issued
- Revenue recognition and journal entries generate in real time
- Credit memos and adjustments flow through without rework
- Payment and collections status is reflected instantly
- Chart of accounts mapping is handled without manual setup
Contract terms parsed in Tabs flow straight through to billing and revenue recognition, so the data in your ledger traces back to the original contract, not a reconstruction of it. Sync error alerts flag any mismatch automatically, so nothing slips through unnoticed.
The integration is direct, with no middleware or workarounds, which means fast implementation and a connection that's easy to maintain. It's built to hold up as billing models get more complex and transaction volume grows, not just for a clean initial setup. There's no ongoing upkeep, no CSV exports, and no manual journal entries needed to keep the two systems aligned.
What our teams are saying
"Accounting shouldn't wait on a human to catch up. The work should happen when the event does," said John Glasgow, CEO of Campfire. "Tabs is built on the same idea. When an invoice goes out, a payment lands, or revenue is recognized in Tabs, it posts to Campfire in that moment as the same record, not an export or a copy. That's what makes a continuous close possible. Our shared customers get a ledger that is already done when the period ends, and a finance team that spends its time on the business instead of the reconciliation."
"When I talk to finance leaders at fast growing companies, the same problem comes up again and again: a gap between what was actually sold and what shows up in the ERP," said Ali Hussain, CEO of Tabs. "Campfire has built one of the best ERPs on the market for teams that need to move fast without sacrificing accuracy. This integration means Tabs customers on Campfire get clean, contract accurate data flowing into their books automatically, from day one."
